The Cadence ("the app," "we," "us") is a personal life-organization app by The Roster. This policy explains what we collect, why, and the choices you have. We keep this short and plain on purpose.

What we collect

• Your email address — used only to create your account and sign you in (via a one-time code or link). We don't email you marketing.
• The content you create — the cards, sections, tasks, notes, dates, and settings you add to your board. This is yours; we store it so the app works across your devices.
• Notification token — if you turn on reminders, your device's push token, so we can send the reminders you asked for. You can turn this off any time in your device settings.
• Basic technical data — standard server logs (e.g. timestamps, error info) needed to run and secure the service.

We do not collect location, contacts, photos, advertising identifiers, or analytics for tracking. We do not show ads.

Your assistant and AI processing

When you use the in-app assistant, the message you send and the relevant parts of your board are sent to our AI provider (Anthropic) to generate a response. This processing exists only to provide the assistant feature. Your content is not used to train their models. If you never use the assistant, your content is not sent for AI processing.

How your data is stored and protected

Your data is stored with our hosting provider (Supabase) and transmitted over encrypted connections. Access is restricted so that only you can read or change your own board.

Who we share it with

We do not sell your data and we do not share it for advertising. We only share data with service providers that help us run the app, strictly to provide it: Supabase (hosting and database), Anthropic (the assistant feature, when you use it), and Apple (delivering push notifications you enable).

Deleting your data

You can permanently delete your account at any time from Settings → Delete my account. This removes your account and all of your board data. You can also use "Clear everything" to wipe your board content while keeping your account.

Children

The Cadence is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect data from them.

Your choices

You can view and edit your data in the app, turn notifications on or off, and delete your account whenever you like. To ask a question about your data, contact us at the address below.

Changes to this policy

If we make material changes, we'll update the date above and, where appropriate, notify you in the app.
